I read news from newspaper this morning; it’s all about the housing issue in Shanghai.

What’s House meaning to you exactly? I would say that means lot of money, a stable and even value-increasing fixed assets, important element part of happy life in Shanghai, a definition between poor people and rich people, an necessary key issue of marriage condition and etc. honestly, there are still a lot more I didn’t list up.

The price of house in Shanghai is too high for working-class, no matter how hard you try you’ll never catch up the speed of housing price growing. But tell me why? Are the houses were build in high quality? Is the material of the house made of gold? No one knows exactly why?

Hundreds of thousands working people still sweaty and work hard, because they want to have their own house, hundreds of thousands of house owners still sweaty and keeping hard work, because they have to pay back their house loan. The whole thing didn’t make most of us happy.

Central government took some measures to bring the house price down this year; the result is house price keeping growing. I really would like to ask about what’s going wrong in China?

Right now, Shanghai is not allowed any kind of house make “group renting” that means a lot of people sharing the same house, it’s not allowed house owner make any house division for renting, it’s not allowed rent rooms like toilet, basement, or even very small room out to the tenant. Yes, I understand the original purpose is just trying to improve people’s quality of life. Of course, there isn’t any wrong with this. But, my question is: Is there anybody who wants to live in a little small room? Anybody who wants to live in a basement? Anybody who enjoy living in a toilet?  Nobody, I tell you there isn’t anybody who likes to do this. Do you know how low income they got after left their hometown and leave their dear parents? Do you know how much a graduated student get in month? Compared with this, in the center city of Shanghai, even a single room the rent rate is around 2000-3000RMB/month, I was told the rent rate of a room which was used to be a toilet is 2000RMB/month. Who is going to care this entire low income outsider’s life?

I owned two houses in far suburbs of Shanghai, I could not use it for living, because my work place far away from there. Every month I paid back the house load. I do hope the housing price jump up if I think about sold them out. That’s the other story. However, let’s more focus on life quality. If you could afford a house in Shanghai, you can be happy about it. If you could not afford a house in Shanghai at the moment, focus on something else to make life wonderful, anyway, I don’t think the situation now is reasonable.

Normally buy my own house should a little small part of our life, decorating, living happily with relatives, that should be a joyful thing. How comes it becomes a terrible disaster in most people’s whole life? What’s life for?
